Robert Sinclair, Director

Robert joined the industry as a Funeral Director’s assistant in 1985 and in 1988 attained his Certificate in Embalming. In 1991 Robert returned to CIT and graduated as a registered Funeral Director. He was among the first group of graduates in New Zealand to receive a National Diploma in Funeral Services in 2000.  

Rob is an accomplished piper and has performed at a number of overseas venues including Australia, France and Scotland.  A highlight for Robert was his involvement in a successful tour of the U.K. performing in the prestigious Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2005.

 Robert is a member of the Rotary Club of Eastern Hutt and is the current convener of the Community Services Committee and the director for the 2009 year.


Clare Ludlam

From a corporate environment in 2000, Clare became a fully qualified counsellor in 2004 and is a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. She worked for a small commmunity agency providing counselling as well as facilitating the Ministry of Justice "Parenting through Separation Programme" and the grief and loss programme for children, "Season for Growth". Clare now has her own private practice in Lower Hutt offereing counselling to children, adolescents and adults.

Clare grew up in Taranaki and has a deep love of the country and enjoys the outdoors through biking, walking, gardening, picnics and calf & lamb days. Her biking includes relaxing rides with her husband Simon and being part of a large family relay event at both the Taupo Cycling Challenge and the Taranaki Challenge around the mountain.


 

Lance Rairi

Christchurch born, Lance initially started as a Funeral Director’s assistant, becoming a fully qualified embalmer in 1993 and later a Funeral Director. Lance had a career change when he joined the Western Australia Police service before returning to the Christchurch Funeral Home where he started out. After moving to the Hutt Valley he joined J R Croft Ltd Funeral Directors in 2006 and has continuted to be an integral part of Croft Funeral Home today.

Lance is a member of the New Zealand Police Pipe Band and the Petone Rugby Club.


Helen Renor

Born in the Hutt Valley, growing up in Wainuiomata, Helen attended Chilton St James for her secondary education. She then trained and worked as a florist for 18 years before a new career path arose. Enjoying contact with people, Helen decided that the opportunity to join the funeral industry was a pathway to future opportunities, and commenced work in January 2010.

Helen lives and has spent her working career in the Hutt Valley and enjoys meeting and helping people requiring her assistance.

Helen has two children Mikayla and Jacob who are involved in many school activities and sports which Helen loves to be involved with.
